why do people pay more on e bay than a bullion company

    Because more people are educated in the fact fiat is doomed than are educated in bullion buying. Ebay = people escaping fiat. LCS and online dealers etc = people stacking/ consciously and knowledgeably building PM stacks

    This is exactly how I progressed from escaping fiat through overpriced online auctions to stacking via online bullion dealers.
