Well i think id be needing new underwear if i were shorting to approx $80 US anyway.. BTC greed seems unparalleled.. people seem to lose big chunks of cognitive power when investing in it with illusions of its granduer or there own ability to predict its price movements.

BTC is the winner of the day.. oh.. and Peter Schiff (as always)..

People that buy Clown fish at RRP from PM should not boast about making profitable plays and call themselves "genius" .. Just "loves" sound of there own voice "figjam" - "pat me on the back".. "im no1 why try harder?") so much as to put there money where there mouth is (its just this means often an empty cheque balance and some of the most obvious cognitive dissonance this site has even witnessed - i am pissed at PM lunar schite myself but there are dummy spits and legendary dummy spitters!).

    D:) = 0 lol.

so are these low prices people are plucking out of their asses based on news that didn't happen?
Or are they just placeholder numbers so when the time comes in some point in the future they can come back and announce how amazing they are?

some pretty bullish activity about atm... it's far more resilient than I ever thought possible, doesn't wanna die.

Or maybe some people are agnostic on the price of BTC, and can see it performing a function regardles of it being $2 or $2000 and just interested in the price action as a mental exercise...

yeah for sure, it is fascinating, I have been watching for a few months now.

but accurately predicting big moves that aren't based on news? stab in the dark and luck, skill factor 0.

maintaining it's in a long-term downtrend doesn't help when something gains 10% in a matter of hours, if you're not playing those kinds of moves then you're better off in a game where you can.

You miss the point. Plenty people argue about the absurdity of trading on TA with an underlying asset that is a representation of a mathematical problem in ones and zero, others argue to the contrary. Or even the absudity of doing so in such a small market being open to manipulation.

Contrasting the run up of gold and silver to the massive run up in BTC is an interesting exercise in learning about human greed, emotion and human psychology if you can't see the value in that and how it relates to precious metals well then I say good luck to you in the future. But to be fair not everyone see themselves getting rich off precious metals or plans to.

With bitcoin you can learn the ins and outs of market mechanics and trading pretty cheaply. Can you short CBA with $2?

Bit of a run up tonight - up 10% across major exchanges in the last 8 hours and climbing. Just a blip though when you pull back to the daily chart.

That is certainly true, I have often thought about being financially involved for that reason but I just can't pull the trigger. Initially I had 1k sitting in coinjar waiting for a point in time where i could buy a couple bitcoins - that shows how late I was to the party. When that time came I convinced myself I just didn't believe in it enough. Having said that...
While I know for a fact silver was over valued in 2011, I'm not sure I can say the same with bitcoin yet, and that's why i continue to watch it. What are these things worth? is it $200 or $1000? will governments and banks kill it before we get an answer? no idea. There are too many parties that can be the cause of market changing news at the moment I think.

Without having an idea of what something should be worth I don't understand how people can claim under $100 bitcoin right now.

Anyhow like i said - not invested, not here to piss you off. I just do a lot of reading and this forum has a lot of differing opinions I don't understand yet, but would like to.

Pump from $450 coming to soon to a chart near you...

Still plenty of opportunities coming to pump up the price and dump off issues that have kinda been forgotten,

Another goxing, or final mt gox goxing

Silk road case and subsequent involvement in other parties not yet know to the public, sale of silk road holdings

    another FBI raid

Traded at $500.00 ~16hrs ago :p, wouldn't be surprised to see it pushed well past it and give a false sense of hope of a break out of the downward trend/bear market

Someone knows something and I don't think its good news. another pump and dump here we come I think

Disclaimer: I don't know what I'm talking about.
