Hey guys, I am Austin Murre, working for the Swedish auction house called Philea Myntkompaniet. I am currently on a mission and I think this may be the best place to ask for help. We mainly deal with stamps and coins; however, we also purchase gold and silver. Before I worked for Philea, they would purchase diamond rings for the gold price and melt them for the gold price. I am the "Gem guy" since I studied in Antwerp with IGI, so they hired me to change that aspect of their business and now we are selling gemstones for their actual value. But that's beside the point. Currently, Philea melts 100 kg of silver antiques and coins every month, completely disregarding the possible value that the silver might have in its antique form. I am looking to find suitable networking places where businesses are welcome. I tried PMsForSale on Reddit, but professional sellers are not allowed. Where do you guys do your business? I see that the forum here is "Closed for business" so I'm assuming lots of you have migrated elsewhere. I would like to post somewhere where I can openly discuss deals of 1-100 kg worth of silver with like-minded, business-oriented people in the silver and gold industry. I can sell at spot price and even under spot when the quantities are high enough.
This is more of a small(ish) scale, mainly non business selling forum that really caters for the Australian market and may not be suited to what you are looking for. Best thing to do is contact an Administrator and discuss it with them.
