I've had a lot of beers in my lifetime but the best I have ever had was in Tauranga Zealand. Was in a Pub called Mac's Astrolabes on the main road. I had a Cherrywood Smoked Malt Beer. Absolutely beautiful. Lot of good beers over there.
    -----------------------------------------
Fourteen years on and one craft beer revolution later, Mac's current seasonal release is an altogether more pungently smoked offering. Available exclusively on tap at Mac's Brew Bars, Mac's Smoke House (5.1 per cent) is brewed with a proportion of cherrywood-smoked malt.

I really struggle to taste any difference between our aussie garden variety adjunct beers of Tooheys, Carlton Draught, Melbourne Bitter etc, they all smell like wet cardboard have that generic pride of ringwood /galaxy hop taste and leave a foul taste behind. I much prefer wheat beers for that reason and my fallback beer Schofferhofer I thoroughly enjoy. In summer the kristallweizen is best and I find the hefferweizen better in winter with its cloudy appearance a bit heavier that suits colder months. Weihenstephaner is by far one of the best beers I have ever tasted scoring 98 on Ratebeer it is an amazing full bodied wheat beer worthy or trying. As with all wheat beers they need to sit for about 10 minutes from the fridge to develop their full flavor. But all this leads to the question of what beer pairs best with the precious.;)

I reckon that's wrong, from memory I found beer in Honkers to be cheaper than here.

My favourite is a home-made Lager, fermented for 5-7 days - or until it stops bubbling out the air lock.

Bottled into about 70 Stubbie bottles @ a cost of 22 cents per Stubbie. Left to mature for a week before chilling & drinking.

Had to give up making it though because I couldn't keep up with the demand.

    I'm an individual.

Extra Gold Lager....takes 3 extra brewing steps for perfection plus its $20 for a 30 rack.
Brewed by Coors and sold here in Colorado. It's so good you can even drink them warm!

Belgium wheat beer is the best and to be honest it's hard to select any one overall.
The real fustrating thing is that 99% of places don't sell any kind and if they do it's just hoegarrden or blue moon which are piss.
