    Mmmmmm....Ten Fidy. Wow, wow, wow and wow again. When I win Lotto, I'm going to drink a can of this every week. This beer is why true stout drinkers consider the Guinness we have here in Australia to be nothing but weak, watery piss.

    Russian Imperial Stout.

    ABV: 10.5%

    Beer Cartel have released their list of Australia's top 50 beers. 3 of the top 5 beers are packaged in cans.

    After spending the best part of 6months in 'dry' communities, I reckon the best beer is;

    ...any one that is in your hand!!!! :confused::eek:o_O;)

    This one.......

    https://foundersbrewing.com/our-beer/kbs/

    Kentucky Breakfast Stout, 11.9% ABV. Downside = $22/stubbie. I let my wife drink it because she wouldn't have liked the other choice, which was a black IPA. :(

    Try comparing it to the Sierra Nevada Narwhal if you get a chance.

    We all have different tastes and I do like some of the more expensive dark beers, but for everyday drinking you can't go past one of the Aldi house beers called Storm Premium Light larger.

    Don't laugh until you try it.

    It is full flavoured and 2.7% which for the elderly like me is more than enough alcohol.

    From memory it is about $23 for 2 doz 330ml bottles and is brewed in New Zealand.

    Works out a about $1 a bottle which won't break the bank and leaves you more money to by silver.

    Aldi have 2 other Storms available which are stronger and dearer but for my taste the light can't be beat.

    I don't work for Aldi, but I do like to shop there.

    I'm a big fan of mid strengths in that 2.7% - 3.7% range, particularly in the middle of summer when you just can't drink 6% IPAs.

    Tried a grodziskie a few weeks back which was pretty good: 2.4% with smoked malts, based on an old Polish style. I wouldn't be surprised if the style made a bit of a comeback.

    Flavour is my prob with midstrengths, that said as a daily I can’t fault Constable and Cricketer’s Arms session ale is pretty good, I reckon Newstead Brewery’s session ale is a real cracker but at the price of full strength beers I can’t justify the cost. On the golf course with no other choice i can’t go passed Carlton mid strength. Shits all over that swill XXXXGold.
