if you look at their history - their share price has been at this level before.

Ive been watching this stock on and off since it lost 80% of its price - never bought in though.

Yeah, i know ive seen it :)
A decisive break out to new highs... look at their history drill results and the property location
You'll probably find the reason why once people got interested they wanted in.

    Trading Halt

Pending an announcement of further drill results at Fekola

Looking at past results and what others have found in the area, the price action last Friday (up 7.6%) (and the need for a trading halt)

Fforgive me for thinking that this announcement will be significant

Why so little noise concerning this miner?

Well, they're about to be taken over by the looks of things. The acquisition pronounced today & it's been mentioned recently that share price takeover should be above $2 by apparent officials commenting on takeover giants that have been knocking on their door.

All I know is I jumped in today, over 18 months since I was introduced to this miner by a mate @ work who bought shares back in 2012. So I guess these guys were my introduction to miners. I decided however, back then to purchase PMs instead.

Sold all my silver stack & bought gold. Stopped for a good few months then thought again about miners.

Any others interested in this miner, considering of course you'd be buying shares only to be bought out? Probably a great chance to gain very short term but, details of acquisition are only outlined in today's news report. No full details as yet. Only the merger implementation agreement for now. I'm sure the next news report will provide better detail.

P.S. oops, sorry......the takeover co is B2GOLD CORP in Canada
