I was just in my local Post office and saw a 1oz proof silver rabbit for sale. It was about $110. I've never bothered with proofs so I have no idea what the market value would be. I must say, it was a very nice looking coin. Can anyone tell me if it's a good buy at that price?
They also had a shiney 1/2oz coloured bunny in a nice little box for $44.
It's the first time I've ever noticed silver being sold at a post office.

$110 for series II lunar rabbit 1oz Silver proof isn't that good of a price.

They go for around that on eBay and I think there were some floating around for 80-90 a while back.

Duno about the colored, I hate colored coins ahhhhhh

Wouldnt touch a 1/2oz colored, the proof you can buy easily for $100 as many as you like. Now its a 5,000 mintage on series 2 proofs and not 2,500 like series 1, not so sure these proofs will be a winner compared to the bullion versions.

Thanks guys, guess I shoud have done an eBay search before asking here!
Must say I agree with you on the colored.
Glad I've stuck to the bullion coins, you can't go wrong buying coins at bullion price with numi potential.

The 1oz coloured however is another matter. If its a choice between a coloured 1oz or a proof 1oz, the coloureds seem to be achieving better premiums in series 2 than the proofs.

I just had a bit of a look around and the tigers and ox proofs seem to be getting huge premiums might even be tempted to sell mine and try and replace for my set
