Question - what about small Perth Mint bars 5g/10g/20g compared to coins? What is more acceptable in the marketplace?

    Thanks

I agree, $200 coins are a good choice. Great insurance with the $200 face value, a nice little piece of Oz history and a decent gold content, easy to build up a few ounces over time...

It's subjective but anything less than an ounce, I prefer to go for coins.

+1, with gold, if i had a choice and the premium wasn't extreme, i'd choose coins.

They don't always have stock so can be hit and miss when it comes to availability.

A regular year Half Sovereign ( around $185 for 0.1177 oz agw ) is the OPTIMAL gold coin for Aussie
gold buyers when they first start out with gold coin purchases.

Without a doubt - go for a .5g Kangaroo - Blockhead and I were looking at some this morning - you can score them for round 40/50 bucks, possibly cheaper if someone will sell you on weight alone.
