Hi all -- I've been throwing this question around, and I'm curious what you think.

For example, designs I'd like to see would feature Isaac Newton (not the fat version of him they put on British currency, but the younger lean and intense portrait), Albert Einstein (with or without his tongue sticking out), the Apollo 11 launch, Wyatt Earp, a dad showing a kid how to use a telescope, Frederick Douglass, a generic rocket launch, and a few others.

Obviously the persons could be on one side, and some kind of imagery on the other (e.g. space launches, telescope, etc.).

Those are just a few ideas I have. What would you like to see?

I would like a lunar kinda series with Ayn Rand's > Atlas Shrugged > John Galt figure.
It depics a giant holding up the planet.
It's impressive, it's iconic, and it symbolizes where welfare comes from: those that produce.

Interesting! So you mean that if the coins were laid next to each other, one by one, they'd form a scene? Wouldn't it be hard to that with coins/rounds since they're circular? I'd imagine it would be easier with bars...

I like that design and I'm mostly pro-Rand. What would make it like a lunar series? As far as I've seen, the Lunar Series feature an animal on one side of the coin, and the Queen of England on the other side, as with all Australian coins. What's lunar about it?

I said "lunar kinda", a lunar-alike series, not lunar as such, but alike lunar series.
As far as I know, the lunar series are the only that provide a wide weight range of coins, 1/2oz 1oz 2oz 5oz 10oz 1k 10k.
