    Did his banning involve a heated exchange with Renovator?

    What are the most common reasons people get banned?

    1.Selling the neighbor's dog to buy silver :lol:

    2.Become an addict and getting silver solution and buying syringe needle for your printer to print those nice picture that appear daily on what I bought today thread

    3.Using the boss' time to read and post and pm on SS

    4.Buying online on PM webpage and brag about the 1 hour processing time

    And here's me only just realised AusPM has been banned - bit of a shame, he was always full of useful info (but sadly though sometimes himself :rolleyes:)

    Ignoring the lead up to the event (including a bunch of PM's between GP and Auspm prior to it), the final (for really, truly real this time) closure of his account was voluntary.

    "Voluntarily Banned"? :) LOL Now that's a new one. Not as insidious as plain "Banned". Maybe we need a petition to get one of those labels on the site along with the sarcasm smiley and the return of "our" gold from London.

    I know you're taking the piss, but "Banned" is the label put onto the account not what actually happened. Like Salty Lemon is labelled "formerly geewiz".

    +1. Even though I am not an objectivist he made a LOT of great contributions and IMHO strongly influenced a lot of the forum for the better (especially in his first and second incarnations). Unfortunately as hard as he tried he couldn't deal with trolls and the light handed, liberal approach by admin wasn't conducive to his personality. Go to the member's forum and sadly you'll see he left with a bad taste in his mouth and had quite a few misperceptions and contradictions between the philosophy he strongly espoused and how it operates in practice.

    Was the thread so objectionable that it had to be deleted in entirety? Surely the "naming" posts could have been deleted/tidied up and the thread (with many valued posts within no doubt) left to stand. That way the "lessons" could be clear for us all to understand.
