Hi all, would like to kindly ask people thoughts on the value of this ugly beast of a bar. Usually these bars fetch quite a modest premium but in this condition??? Am thinking of putting it up for auction, or perhaps straight sale- what are your thoughts?

No, no doorstop treatment. Was like that when i bought it. Dropped it once though when I weighed it- didnt seem to make a difference! Got it as a package with another (good condition) bar.

Would the Perth Mint buy it back at spot for their museum?

In all seriousness - take spot if offered. That thing needs recycling.

Lol- will enjoy it for a little while longer -it has immense character, awesome patina with a touch of rainbow toning on the reverse thrown in for good measue. My favorite bar. Very rare- one of a kind thats for sure!
