I dont think America needs to be been involved there. Let them hack it out for themselves. There are millions of fighting age men in Venezuela that need to do some soul searching and learn how to put on their big boy pants and do for themselves more than holding signs at a protest like some imbecile. Maybe socialism softened them and domesticated them too much but they'll have an awakening eventually, when the pain is bad enough.
Men that flee as refugees would do a better service to themselves and their families if they didnt turn tail and run like little girls at the first sign of trouble.
For generations they have sat on their hands and now they need to take responsibility for that. The socialist utopia is over and it's time to grow up and be men. Let them fight or let them starve, it's up to them.

Many are frustrated that the America under Trump doesn't play the same military first game that China and Russia are playing. They expect America to behave like it did during Obama's term. The game has changed and I suspect the change to be more permanent than most of us are willing to believe. America is now Inc. The days of playing military superpower are over.

This change has tremendous effect on the global balance of power because more often than not, authoritarian regimes are usually military first rather than business first. In conclusion, it will be difficult for other powers to counter this strategic move.

My favourite part of this article that had LOL was in the final paragraph where the USA govt rep is quoted about being ANTI the arbitrary detention of the 2nd in command of the Venezuela coup.

Do these guys even bother to look at their own house with the likes of Gitmo?

I mean that joint is still running and people have been locked up there for more than a decade without trial or in some cases even without charge.
