You definitely put some great points forward Ipv6Ready, pretty eye opening. Will be interesting too see what happens tonight. Lowering opening with maybe a small rally at the end of trade?

Yike, yesterdays futures was at least close to even before capitulating after the open.
However it is anyone guess if might jump, stabilize or sink.
I doubt the mindset of many in investment circles thinks the indices will be testing DJI 29,000 or S&P500 anytime soon. Though some pundits seems to be making crazy assumptions.

Ten days ago genius that is Tom "the imbecile" Lee was talking about which would hit 40,000 first... The 40,000 dow or $40,000 BTC lol

Will be very interesting to see.

If it falls another 470 points from this mornings close, then we enter the technical ‘correction’ territory of a -10% fall from the All Time High. Looks like a real chance to happen tonight!

Great cynicism in the FT on QE and virus

The cavalry is expected in the form of central banks, ... This is a noble effort, ... But anyone who can clearly articulate how easier policy can fix an economic pullback based on deaths, grounded flights, closed factories and ghost cities is very welcome to get in touch.

Everyone thought I was kidding when I called the virus a black swan back in January haha.
It's all the msm leftist zombies are talking about now.
Not one word about the endless money printing causing any problems.
    And the game goes on!

Pretty simple, if easing fiscal policy can create a profit opportunity then there'll be someone there to take advantage of it and consumers willing to jump on board.

Debasement of currency is an attack on every working individual. Just ask an Indonesian how they feel about the rupeeh. If I was working for a bullion dealer I would consider asking for my salary in metals.

^^I know mate, you are right. I spend a great deal of time overseas and a lower Aussie $$ is just terrible for travelling. And for those that don't travel, all of our imported goods like fuel etc will only end up costing us all more.^^

The thing about this virus issue is how it highlights the flaws of globalisation. I haven't been around in finance and economics long enough to remember the impact of Sars or bird flu, but when companies run out of stock due to the shutdown of shipping local manufacturing definitely gets a boost. If China stutters and falls this can only be a good thing for sovereign nations in the long term. Definitely going to suck short term though.

I'm no economist, I'm sure there's more than just one flaw.
