What's the go regarding mortgagees or those with credit? I expect they will have to renegotiate with the creditors if a big 4 was to collapse?

Creditor would take ownership of the mortgage and is within their rights to call on the mortgage- depending on the mortgage contract. Many can be called by the bank with short term notice. I don’t think the government would allow this as there would be riots on the streets if it was a lot of people but then again these are uncharted waters.

if there is a crash we will finally get to see the true value of peoples homes, not these pumped up prices you see.
eg Melbourne Sydney and so on. realestate markets in those places would be shitting bricks right now

Cash injections and very low interest rates might mean that doesn’t happen just yet. I still think this won’t happen until 2026/7 as per P Anderson.

Yes call for remaining balance. Agreed on the blood letting. These are uncharted times. History educates is and the Great Depression was a time when the government let a lot of things fail. They thought it was the best action. My gut instinct says we will see some of this in the next year or perhaps in the 2026/7 economic failure.

I gave been following the works of Phillip J. Anderson for a while and put some credence to his work. He is worth reading at least. I follow a lot of topics but his is quite different. Worth a squiz in my opinion.

His theory talks about property cycles and how they drive the economy. They have a cycle. The current cycle would end around 2026/7. Make of it what you will.
