The whole street would know about this, and the extended network of friends etc.

    Rather have an island!

He should have painted all the steel. I can see that starting to rust in no time. And he said he has 2 petrol generators..in that small room. He would be dead if he turned them on. And appart from many other things i dont think he made it as a shtf bunker. He just made it like that as a joke for youtube. Its just a mancave to impress people.

    What a nob!

It always amazes me that people build bunkers for "The End Of The World". I mean think about it....if it's the end, then whats the point. You going to buy yourself another couple of months and die a miserable lonely death in a box?

If you're going to build one, do it for the war/social collapse/natural disaster type of scenario. Semantics I guess, but I get the impression too many of these prepper types are just morons.

His bunker is not really that good. Have you seen the show Doomsday Bunkers? There are some seriously cool bunkers in that show.

Yeah, it's not a SHTF bunker if the neighborhood/world knows.

Your own island is the best!

I was thinking about a boat because it is mobile.

If it was the end of the world and a bunker with him was the only option then I'd be heading to the wastelands.

Of course, he was paid to produce the content. He didn't spend his own money on this, TV1 paid for it.

Not a good idea, boating accidents and loss of stacks is common :)

    SP,

In our 'Grey nomad' days we came across a 4WD with a fairly large sail boat attached. They lived on that on Highway 1, and when inclined put it into the water at some idyllic FNQ spot.

Probably looked a bit funny in Ayers Rock!
