    image2.JPG image3.JPG Hi I have what I believe are uncut opals I don't know anything about them. Are they worth anything? Does anyone know anywhere in Melbourne I could take them to get looked at?

    Members of my family own opal mines and I've been digging with them. I reckon this is the stuff they would have categorised as "potch", and tossed out.

    As you are in Geelong, take them to the Geelong Gem & Mineral Club. They meet every second Tuesday (except August & Jan.) night at 7.30 pm.

    Plenty of people there that will help you.
