Even barsenault doesn't have the 1st one.. Slacker! :p

NGC hates it.. A couple dozen graded: 66 to 68, with only a handful at 68.

Ag Wutai to pair up with my brass Wutai.

Took a while to track down, but finally in the mail..

The "Mt Wutai" medal is really spectacular. The Happy Boy looks cool too.

Congrats on getting slabbed, low mintage, beautiful silver art!

Trust me, I've had the finger on the trigger a few times, but every time, I then see another medal I want or need, and I end up buying it. I really do like that Gordon medal. It is very, very nice. Again, how those are able to remain in inventory is beyond me. Eventually I will get one. They are priced pretty inexpensively too.

I LOVE both of those medals. Just love them!! Actually, there aren't too many Chinese medal Art I don't like. LOL.

I was looking this "kid" medal maybe few days ago. :) Child looks a little bit "creepy". :D

Mt. Wutai is really nice one.

    Congrats! :)

    Mintage = only 300.

Better hurry. Don't want to have to sell you mine for double what I paid. ;)

    Bah, cute kid.

But yeah, I could see how some might see him as a bit creepy.

The other side is genius.

Have to mix it up. Can't have all the same Buddha theme.

Emei used to be my favorite, but once I got brass Wutai Mtn in hand, now they're both my favorite. Can't wait for Ag to arrive!

Awesome series. Highly recommended. Just stacks upon stacks of detailed ultra-high relief.

I was thinking the same thing, Stark...that kid does look a bit creepy but the high relief just rocks and kills the Perth Mint's shabby medals!

Wutai & Emei are equally awesome, eh?

You know, I've got some cool stuff, modern & historical, China medal & non-China items, alike.. But I'm close to saying that they're my favorite pieces in my entire collection.

You're prepared to pay up for Putuo, yes? :(

Anyway, curious to hear how they graded, if you don't mind..

    Putuo is expansive.

The design is good BUT the quality is not as good as the others due to first medal of the series. Let me post it out this weekend

Relative bad quality, for sure. I've seen some yucky photos of the raw.

And NGC census is horrible compared to others in the series & similar types. Worse than Happy Boy / Gordon Money.

That 69 must be worth big $$$..

Putuo the first medal for the Buddha series quality bad.

This is the same for 1 medal of classical garden despite many efforts putting in and the mould changes and dies. NGC grading also bad. However, not as bad as Putou.

I will say Nanjing panda and panda goat silvers are good quality control as first medal of the series.

    Got 'em in today!

2-D photography never does these things justice. Always much better in person.

Happy Boy / Gordon Money is really cool. Definitely what I consider to be ultra-high relief, unlike many of those other non-China mint pretenders who like to use that phrase as a marketing gimmick.

But also not MEGA EXTREME ultra-high relief, like you find with Emei & Wutai Mtn, and I'm sure some others.

Happy Boy doesn't have as much difference in degrees of relief, like you find with Wutai where it's basically one central part "stacked" on each side that's ready to pop out of the slab..

Instead, the kid is the highest point, but with much of the overall "supporting" design also playing a role in the relief. Basically there's more areas of relief throughout the design, but just not to the extreme heights of some other medals.

Very happy to have it. If anybody is on the fence, I highly recommend it.

As for Wutai in Ag.. Whoa, Nellie!

One of those where you can't stop looking at it.. :D

Jiu hua San coin has issue recently in China. I guess the jiu hua Shan medal will follow and out soon. Yet to heard the news. Many are hitting the coin now.

Was there recently a big coin show in one of the major cities in China?

You got raw or slabbed medals? If slabbed, what grades? If raw, getting 'em slabbed in fatties?
