Sometimes there are deals that appear on here that seem to good to be true. Please don't let a little greed be the thing that makes you lose money. It is not unreasonable if you are a long term member here to ask for shipping of the items first, though the seller does not have an obligation to comply. If a deal doesn't seem quite right. Walk away. There are always plenty of other good legitimate deals around. It is currently a buyers market.
I can confirm that our tricky con has no idea about contract formation. Toilet paper is more useful than his words. Ozcopper's advice very sound.
You can also tell that to the 4 people that agreed to my terms and renegged later asking me to post first. My advise to you also is very sound, stick EDDITED BY OZCOPPER: (bad language removed)
I am not privy to oztricky's dealings with others. My post was based on my dealings with him. oztricky has admitted to reneging on his contract with me. I made him a counter offer, offering him $100 extra and he agreed. Here is the text for everyone to see of oztricky's acceptance: oztricky: "Deal [*my name*].. would of been happy with the PayPal escrow thing I have been talking with another buyer about but not going to say no to an extra hundred. ..." Not only did he renege on his agreement. He was unapologetic - actually his reneging email was foul-mouthed. This guy is comical.
Happy days pendragon, ozcopper and the like. I am currently selling the rest of the lot for a good price to a local coin dealer. I am then sending the coins express post to the guys that have already paid... with an extra ounce thrown in for having faith. To those guys I say thanks... Only been scammed once myself once buying a Gold Soveriegn Ring at a Brisbane Silver Stackers meet back in the day, this seller was an "active" forum member as well . Funny how I was able to let that go and come with fresh expectations rather than taint all stackers with the same brush. Just waiting for the guys to receive there coins and post a thread saying everything was received ok then whatever passes as admin or mods on this terrible forum, please proceed with shutting down my silverstackers account, your a bunch of jokers and muppets. Cheers, Tricky
Pendragon I am so aggravated that I am not only unapologetic but downright defiant in my stance now. Ozcopper the sensitive mod wont let me give you any more advice but feel free to PM me and I can reiterate at a pace and vocabulary level you can comprehend.
I didnt say they did pay first.. he paid cash after he inspected and agreed on a price as would local coin dealer, local as in has a shop front. Think.before you speak jacka$$. @ozcopper never would think about lurking in such a fearful, accusatory and jaded forum longer than I have to. Just ensuring the buyers have received there goods and are happy. After that cancel my account by all means.
good bye and good riddance You really do sound like a grade A scammer, be it your refusal to send 1st to existing members with good standing, adversarial nature and declining to engage in a trade with 3rd party paypal protection after 1st agreeing to it, you tick all the boxes for a scammer to be. Even if, and it is a big if, you honour your sales with the few people naïve enough to trust sending you money 1st, you have done nothing to help your case by responding the way you have, so please don't let the door hit your arse on the way out and don't come back until you have grown up and learnt to show people the respect they deserve in an environment you are new to
There I was thinking you lived in Darwin and there was no suitable option for a local sale? Look forward to the members you sold to posting feedback.
Yeah me to mate.. I asked around and there is one guy that runs a collectable coin store. Doesn't advertise that he buys bullion though so had to ask the locals on a fb page. He did buy 68 ounces off me at spot lrice though so he got a bargain.. after the pain of dealing with forum members on here I was most appreciative. In regards to feedback from people that have already bought, yeah for sure me too, i threw in a an extra ounce for them being a good blokes.
