Looking for the "rules" sticky in the trading thread? Yesterday I made an unconditional buzz on an offer here; then PM'd my contact details to seller and offered to meet locally last night or this morning. At 0643 this morning I received a PM from the seller claiming he was arranging a meeting with another buyer. The original item was below spot yesterday and today is even gretaer value as gold and silver prices have jumped overnight. Feel a little let down by the seller. What is the right thing to do in such a situation?
http://forums.silverstackers.com/message-879751.html#p879751 Someone buzzed before you. They buzzed with a "Condition" You then buzzed with an "Unconditional" They still had the 1st buzz. Comments?
Unconditional will beat conditional every time. This applies in every aspect of trade and commerce!! Buy a house with a conditional offer and then someone comes along and gazumps you by making an "unconditional offer" for the same price. Who do you think the vendor will sell to! Why is this environment different? The conditional offer did not receive a response from GL. Greenleaves if you are a "bit unhappy" with the neg from me, don't worry about it. You should only be concerned if you are greatly (or similar) unhappy. Your lack of communications after the fact shows that you have no respect for the trading process on this Forum. Your belated ridiculous offer to sell a gold one ounce was rude and disrespectful based on the original offer you posted here. Pull up your socks when trading here! The feedback I left for you is truthful, honest and appropriate and I stand by it! PS Maybe a positive feedback from the "alleged buyer" will balance out the neg I left you! MMMMM????
There was an offer and there was an acceptance. That equals a contract! The seller then declined to sell based on some fanstasy of another buyer. Then the seller re-offers the same items at a higher price. This is an abuse of the buy and sell process here. Greenleaves is again offering those 2 X 1 oz ABC bars at a higher price. http://forums.silverstackers.com/message-881164.html#p881164 Go figure!
Hi SULLA. The ones I just posted are different gold bars to the ones I sold last week. Currently liquidating for renos. I accepted an offer for the initial two from someone who got in before you. Sorry about the confusion.
I have contacted the seller and ADMIN and asked that the neg feedback be removed upon request. I always had the impression that a buzz (UNCONDITIONAL) was like an eBay BUY IT NOW! BB There was no explicit acceptance but there was no expilcit refusal either until much later. Under the maxim of law "He who does deny, admits!" Perhaps as a guideline a seller should post "sale pending" or whatever as soon an offer is received whether it be on Forum or off Forum.
We now have a new GSR, Gold to Sulla ratio. level of frustration directly relates to Gold spot price. If gold had of gone down overnight instead of up would this have even been mentioned?
Stoic Pheonix My unconditional offer would stand! Come up with a contributing statement to this thread rather than a personal attack!
If you are taking that as a personal attack you need to stop wearing that blouse you are crying into and harden up a little pal I think your frustration blinds you to the truths I speak. If gold dropped $100 overnight you wouldnt be writing about the "transaction"
If I were Sulla I would let it go.there are plenty of great deals around with low spot, silver or gold. No need to argue just take notice and go on .
and one more thing which has been done a million times. there is no such thing as conditional, unconditional or any other buzz.there is only buzz and it means you accept all the terms stated by the seller. no further negotiating,no free post and no meet here and there. if you wanna negotiate buzz thru pm and negotiate there.simple and easy.
With respect Dragafem there is always the option of a conditional acceptance in commerce! Read the Bills of Exchange Act 1909!
hey guys, maybe I could get a little help here. I buzzed a small purchase a month ago with a member and got a pm asking for bank deposit etc. sent all my details, assured the item would be sent as soon as payment cleared. made payment probably straight away. from there I got no pm's back from the member and I see he hasn't been online since the 18th of December. what do I do from here ? the total was just over $100. Small I know but not sure what to do. I've sent multiple messages and I don't know what else can be done. I messaged another buyer of an item this person had for sale who had received some correspondence from the person. That person said he had been told the person was in hospital.. and would be out in a few days. I figured I would wait and see. I haven't left feedback yet and the person has not been online since. It was 4x 2016 kooks + postage. Looks like the sales thread has disappeared. it was a member with only 3 feedback joined early this year. my first bad purchase on here. everything else has been more or less excellent and some have been fantastic.
