$340 for a series 1, 1 oz proof with days to go 260848616770 interesting to see where it finishes up.
$2,750 for a series 1 3-coin set sound a bargain? Choking on my coffee laughing at that one 260847662826
On ebay they are going for around 65-70 EUR - so around the $90-100 mark. Silber Corner has them for 69.90 EUR.
Incidentally, 69.90 EUR is the exact same price they are charging for the 1oz Lunar II Tiger as well.
This Dragon mania has also helped lift the current prices of Mice, Rabbits and Tigers Wholesale prices for rolls of mice has just gone up to $1000, rabbits $1100, and tigers $1200 I still think Dragon prices will settle down to about $1200 -$1300 a roll wholesale once people are able to source it more easily. This hype is just too similar to the Clownfish and Treasures of Australia gold Nugget debacle.
Agreed. Initial mania then it falls back to something reasonable. Why would you be buying a 2012 Dragon coin for $120-$150 which has a 300k mintage when a series 1 Dragon with a 118k mintage you can buy for the same or less? Its nonsensical and when an investment doesn't make sense there's sure to be something wrong with it.
APMEX listing s2 1oz tiger $110 now. Dragon will be much cheaper than that price? Also the mintage of s1 tiger much less than s2, but I am not seeing that give much help to s1 tiger price which is $120 on APMEX.
Experienced bidding stopped at $95, two newbies are now fighting over it. One has 0 feedback. Very dubious! I would think that something is going on in the background with that auction, not necessarily the auction itself but the bidders are not acting rationally.
If you search ebay for 2012 silver dragon proof and tick "search description" then this coin comes up because the description talks about proof of postage. The only coins that come up are the 2 coins by this seller and Austackers $999 one. These bidders probably think that this is a proof coin. Austacker: If they are also making an offer on your coin, I think you should send them a message and warn them about their mistake.
Looks like the guy that made the auction has created a new account and is dummy bidding against a mate of his to rack up the price on his next auctions.
When 100% profit in a week isn't enough, and you need to start conning people to make more, you know there is a serious problem with people
The person who has the highest offer with me so far has a good feedback rating so it all appears good. I do want to point out I am not doing this to rip anyone off, but I am trying to establish what the ebay merket is prepared to pay. I do feel sorry for those who missed out, but i also know a lot more Bullion are coming. Proofs are a little different.
I don't see accepting the highest bid in an auction, where the bidder has time to inform/educate themselves as ripping someone off. However if you use deceit, lies, misrepresentation or any other tactics to purposefully instill an incorrect notion into someones mind, that is ripping someone off. Austacker I see what you are doing as being totally above board and transparent. I'm sure if a potential buyer asked a questions of you, you would provide them with an honest and ethical answer. What someone is prepared to pay for anything is very subjective, it depends on the individual, something I see as a rip off someone else sees as a bargain.
Here is another listing I have and 1 is gone already. It is clearly stated Buliion so it is clear and transparent. It is up to the buyer to do reasearch on the item, as long as information is correct on the listing. Have a look - 190574716585
