Toning...

    I don't get it. Is it from a heat source applied to the metal? Or a chemical interaction.... oxidation of the silver or copper or both? This one stood out from around 50 others after a clean and I cant say I remember another

    You're looking at silver oxide there !
    Can be cleaned off with baking soda.
    :)

    I already did that with all its mates and it still came up like this

    ammonia overnight as well.

    Yep...did that to. All the others are super shiny and clean. They were all a bit dirty to start with but not disgusting. I gave it a red hot crack with the baking soda until I realised it was unusual.

    Around the neck and under the chin are a lovely purple colour...pic does not do it justice
