I got myself a 1989 1/20 platinum koala. The premium was more than the stacker in me is happy with but it was a bargain compared to what they are on ebay.

I also had the pleasure(?) of watching a guy spending $24,000 on a 1920's threepence. Now that is a premium if ever I've seen one!

I Actually bought this (and another identical one) a little while ago but haven't had a chance to get the camera out until now. It's an Austrian 1000 schilling, just under 4/10ths of an ounce agw. I bought it to sell but I actually really like the way they look and the size/weight is really nice as well so I think I'll hold on to it for a while (at least until the spot comes back a little:).

I think the 2001 $200 Kookaburra mule with a mintage of around 20 is probably the rarest. :p

they are sterling silver and i must say, a pretty damn lovely thing...
i can't find much (anything) out about these particular wings thou, my searching has found very similar things.. but none with the blue enamel in that style..

Looks like a wartime sweetheart badge to me. The type of badge a young lady would wear while her sweetheart was overseas on active service. I'm no expert so if I'm wrong I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will correct me.

    Regards

    Acorn

Im sorry but perhaps only the coa what is rare(Im sure spanner can make one ). there is nothing rare about the kook.if there would be some privy mark Id say maybe . seems like the buyer(if any) would have to pay a hefty premium for a piece of paper.

I have seen people pay $1k+ for a foy and Gibson paper bag, $2k+ for a "star" coin case and don't even get me started on what people will pay for ultra low numbered Coa's. This is a "piece of paper" linked to a historic event attended by invite government officials and dignitaries only and the only one to obtain on is to have one of these said people part with theirs. My expierence is people like this don't often sell these items as the don't need the money. But feel free to get spanner to knock a few out, whilst he is at it could he make me a few $20 coombs Randell star notes? :)

bought this of fleabay a while ago and wasnt expecting much but when it arrived and looked at it in person it turned out to be really really nice. Real leather and felt, nice condition...I'm disappointed now that I sold most of my unslabbed sovereigns. I almost want to Crack a few pcgs holders just to fill it up :) I'm trying to sell some metal to fund a new bike but now I'm thinking I'll have to buy some more bullion sovs.

I shouldn't be buying things. In fact I'm selling stuff to pay for my new bike, but I saw this and couldn't resist. I've always wanted some Pagnini silver and now I have the ultimate Pagnini blob I never have to buy any more since I'll never get a nicer piece, so it's like saving money...kind of.

This is the very first pour of their 2012 dragon blob. They only made 999 1oz blobs plus a special first pour 2oz, serial no.000. Normally these first pours are kept at the mint, but this was given as a special gift from Anton Pagnani to the person I just bought it off. To quote the seller "he (Anton) said it was the greatest thanks he could give."

I got it for a fraction of the buy it now price as well. Very happy. I've promised to give him first right of refusal if I ever sell it (he was selling for pressing personal reasons). I told him about SS so we might have a new member with a connection to Pagnini mint, pretty cool.

They only made 999 of the 1oz and this is 1 of 1, first pour, serial 000.

    Drink it in boys.

Only just won the auction though, I'll take proper photos when I have it in my hands.
