Thanks for the tip, I will remember that for next time.

This weekend will be the real test, heading to Nundle with a few guys. Hopefully I will have some nice pics to show :)

Good luck in Nundle. Look forward to hear how you get on.
I love going up there for the weekend even if I don't get anything.

Oldest trick in the book, ya just got to wonder how a modern day coke can got down that far all by itself huh ? Bury the Gold, Silver and Diamonds and then throw in a few shovel's full of dirt and chuck in the empty can you drank while digging the hole as a decoy and keep filling the hole in.....

Now I'm off to check my lotto tickets, after winning this I think my luck might of changed. :) :) :)

Dang wish I would have seen this a bit earlier for a chance to enter.

I metal detect for about a year now so my first guess for being a yard was going to be roofing nails. Soda cans probably wouldn have been my 2nd guess.

Do you get hot rocks over there Eureka? They have a distinct bong to em on my detector. I always dig them when working a patch, then check the hole again. My first ever yella find was under such a rock :) Hot rocks I keep in a little litter bag with other junk.....So I don't have to keep going over the bloody things again.

Yeah, lots of hot rocks over here. Goes with the gold territory. :( Im the same, pick them up or throw them somewhere overgrown that I cant detect anyway so they're out of the way.

Adds a lot of bips and boops to the detectors array of sounds. Same thing with pieces of bluemetal near sealed roads.

We also have bongs over here, but they dont sound like hot rocks. :p
