I know this is true because the girl on 'Sky News' TV said so. Now that the debt ceiling is raised, then the US Treasury can sell a trillon or three of new US Treasury Bonds. I wonder who will buy them, the Chinese? The Japanese? OPEC? The ECB? The Australian RBA? I doubt it! That will leave that Ben Bernanke bloke at the Federal Reserve, he has LOTS of money!! After all his printing press has been going 24/7 in anticipation of the go ahead, and he will need to load up the trucks with $100 notes and send them to the Treasury. "happy days are here again". OC
http://www.watoday.com.au/business/world-business/us-debt-deal-clinched-20110801-1i6ud.html Cut $1T in spending over 10 years. pppppfffffff Does anyone know what their raising the debt "target" to yet?
What a strange world. We have a customer who maxed out on their credit card, can't pay back even the interest? And now everyone feels a sigh of relief that the customer gets a credit limit raised??? and is able to spend again....
Yes, we have confidence that YOU, as a tax-payer, will be able to repay that customer's debts (and your kids kids, and their kids kids). We also trust that you will fight for us bankers and military industrialists on whatever new cause we create for you to fight for. Thank you, come again.
I'm writing a song atm - it's called and the can keeps on a rollin rollin rollin down the street (thinking about getting Tina Turner to sing it).
Pt and Pd are going up which is interesting. Au and Ag are going down. Separates the "Safe Haven" metals and the "Industrial" metals imo
Price in pms is falling as expected after decision is made - short period of relief about US not defaulting. This could be last buying opportunity before the steady climb back up which is in my opinion inevitable as the debt crisis has not really been solved! Only problem is in guessing how low pms will go?
Seems oddly appropriate: It's been days now and you change your mind again it feels like years and i can tell how time can bend your ideas and the boys go on and on and on and on and the boys go on and on and on and on and there's gold falling from the ceiling of this world
Yep, Put off the evil day until enough inflation can be generated in order to EASILY pay off the >US$14.3 trillion. Soon!
Congratulations to all the hard working congressmen from both sides for coming to this historic agreement. We can all breath easily now - jobs will be back, Hummers will be back in fashion, and housing prices are going to start going up!!
And if you play a country music record backwards your dog comes home, your wife comes back to you, your farm mortgage gets paid and your pickup truck starts working again.
