    Hey stackers,

    Was talking to a few people on here and there seemed to be some interest in getting more pandas or unicorns over here.

    I have just subscribed to Peter Anthony's pricepedia and the prices they ask in US/EU are definitely higher than what you can get by sourcing from China directly. Yennus' prices are definitely much better, especially the fractional Gold pandas, I can't beat those prices :p.

    So here's the plan, I am (or others) are going to source some pandas or unicorns (Silver only) from China [100% legit w/ fishball (or others) stamp of legitimacy] and hopefully get a better price than what they are asking on APMEX or some other places.

    Feel free to make more suggestions or comments. Maybe some 1/2oz Ag Pandas or other stuff. Avoided high premium stuff like proof unicorns or proof pandas but they can be sourced if you're willing to pay :p.

    Update: Per discussions with other people, it's too complicated to do a group buy and as such I (or other people) will instead take individual requests for specific items and get them for you. Please post below or PM if you have any queries/requests. Think of this as a request thread or "Want to buy" and see if yennus, me, Maggie or others are able to source what you need.

    No real time frame... was just a thought in my mind and had discussions with a few other stackers seemed like a good idea so posted this up.

    The prices on some stuff is pretty bad, like 2008 1oz Panda is cheaper from APMEX than China (probably reflected in next pricepedia imo).

    But there are some gems to be had such as BU 1oz 1997 Unicorns or the proof version for only $500.

    Of course, if I get enough people then we can go ahead any time, basically looking at an order size of > 2.5k to make it worthwhile (pretty easily reached with Pandas and unicorns >_<).

    Hey Fishball,

    I normally stay away from pandas coz I'm not smart enough to spot a fake BUT as the forum's token gay girl I'll be interested in taking a 2-3 of 97 unicorns for some gifts. Unless the price goes to the moon...:)

    1/2 oz pandas are the least popular for some reason, therefore, likely to attract lower premiums when re-sold in future years, but, may present good buying opportunity now as far as price over spot is concerned. If anyone is looking to onsell their gold pandas at some later stage looking to gain max premium, then i would recommend 1/4 and 1/10 oz as a better investment.

    Anyway after some thought I've decided to make this a 'request what you want' thread and I or other people can go and source it (if possible) and give you a quoted price.

    Group buys are too messy especially for numismatic stuff such as old pandas, it's not like I can buy 100x1993 1oz Pandas out of nowhere :p

    Hmm, no longer a group buy. As you know it is very hard to get a sizable amount of older pandas.

    It's become more of a 'request what panda you want' and I see if I can source them :)
