But he's replying to messages in small text.
Age might explain the mental decline though.
Our very own village idiot.
Best to just ignore and not engage at all with him. Judging by the majority of threads he posts in where it's basically just him talking to himself I guess the majority of us are already doing this
The large and colourful font is just ridiculous, and then 100 times worse when you realise it's an actual grown elderly man doing it, but it's the actual content and what he believes will happen with fiat, metals, crypto etc that really makes me truly believe that he is camped out in some shack in country Victoria with nothing but a tin foil hat on
Yes. Like a teenager who believes the secret to life is contained in some heavy metal lyrics and has to tell the world and play it really loud.
I like precious metals just as much as the next guy, maybe a bit more, but I don't think it's the be all and end all.
I collect cause I like shinny things and maybe as part anonymous super. But I don't think the world will crash like it has ever again things just move too quickly now
maybe we should get back on thread now,
Sorry for the intrusion
I thought that I would update the thread with saying that it took a couple of years but in the end MickJohn came good on $$$ for items not sent at the higher ASE price
Also, I think after 3 years away my silver and gold itch is back stronger than ever so expect to see more of me around
is this John?!

Anyone having issue with a new member called PM Collector?
No feed back and has spammed a few sales recently.
Currently telling me Osko Payment hasn't gone in 3 days after the fact and his bank tells him nothing in pending.
Just waiting for 100% confirmation from my bank (the transaction seems to have gone through normally) but interested if anyone knows anyone else having issues with this member?
Just saw this, pretty sure dealt with this person - he won an auction from me a while back but screwed me around.
Does the name match Redback's (J..N)? The person I dealt with had a very similar username, might have created a new account.
Out of interest has this been resolved ?
Wasn't sure if I should reply but here goes... I've been to the bank three times now, they're looking at me like an idiot now, they said if its in your account or pending it would show wouldn't it (they said pending also shows as pending). I said I guess so... It hasn't showed up in my account, after messaging you and keeping in contact with you several times each day since you said you sent it. I took several screenshots of my account transactions and send them to you which as displayed all the other payments I have received from other buyers. As I said I'm not sure why this is the case, but the money is not in my account and I just messaged you saying that I would like to be part of this community, so i have zero intention of scamming anyone for money. The items have been packed and ready to ship since day 1. I'm sure they we will sort it out, obviously an issue with the bank I'm guessing? as I have been saying all along, if you sent it, they cant just take the money from you if the other party, me, hasn't received it. Money still not received. All the other purchasers items have been shipped and their payment received.
I had an issue with Osko/NPP the other week too. Took 5 days to resolve. It happens.
Did payer double chech the bsb and account numbers they sent payment to?
I always cut and paste a copy of the bank transfer details to the message I send the seller informing them payment has been made.
Ideally, if people provide an email address, CBA offer an option where the payment receipt can be emailed directly to the recipient.
At least that gives something to fall back on.
I always check and double check, even if it means logging back out of my banking app and double checking, one wrong digit and payment is in the wind,so to speak
Osko/payid sometimes doesn't work like it is suppose to. The other day a guy bought an item from me and he sent me a screenshot of the payment. Everything was correct and it showed it was an osko payment. OSKO means immediate payment (they say within a few seconds) but funds did not arrive until the next day well after 9 am. I held off sending the item.
We, both buyers and sellers have to be patient with the banks and like Jamie says I double and triple check all the account numbers. And to the point of being a pain in the ar$e I always stay in contact with the buyer or seller letting them know what's going on and provide screenshots. Things just stuff up sometimes and if they do you just got to get right on top of it straight away.
First instance of PayID/Osko is delayed up to 24hrs in most cases. Repeat instance will be instant
Recently there was some updates to how PayID/Osko/NPP interact and new common guidelines were introduced with new transfer integrity standards and each bank has implemented them as they fit within their own internal business banking guideline.
Much like some institutions pin requirements on "tap and go" payments are $100 and others are capped at $200. Individual banks threshold for PayID/Osko/NPP differ.
Low value transfers $100 to $500
each bank sets their own threshold, some might be $100 or $200 and others $500
At or below the sending institution set value, the transfers are instant
Above the banks threshold the money will be held for 4 to 12 hours for first transfer to that recipient.
Below $99.99 all current institutions transfer instantly.
Mid value transfers $501 to $5000
4 hours to 24 hold on first transfer to new recipient or the first transfer to an existing recipient at or above mid value threshold
Most institutions sets mid value at $1000
High value $5001 plus
4 hour to 24 hold on all transfers
Few banks allow $5001+ instant transfer at the moment.
Note: when you move across to higher category tier for the first time the new higher limit rules apply once per recipient ID.
Ie if you send multiple $100 transfers to same recipient ID (no hold) than few days later or many months later try to send $600 to the same recipient ID for the first time, the mid value rule comes into effect even though you could have sent the recipient ID thousands of dollars instantly under lower value rules.
Individual banks also have additional rules like total maximum transfers per day (to different accounts) or to a single individual account per day. Most institutions allow you to raise or lower these limits online or via contacting them. (These are not part of PayID/Osko/NPP rules but they effect transfer like it would for Direct Debit)
Also PayID/Osko/NPP rules can be circumvented within reason ie if I need to send you $550 and I have not met the mid value rules for the particular institution, I could send you $190 +$190 + $170 without triggering mid value rules (if my bank threshold is $200) facilitating instant transfer of $650 on the same day.
However if high number of transfers occur to one ID, the banks fraud algorithim will likely stop the transfers ie try to send 50 × $99 to same recipient on the same day, the banks security system will likely shut your account temporarily.
Finally these rules are administered by individual banks, so if you use multiple banks then meeting the requirement at one bank doesn't mean you have met the requirement at your other banks.
Ie if I transfer $900 from my main ANZ account to you and have met the ANZ hold requirement, further mid value transfers are instant to you from my ANZ account.
But in the future if I transfer $800 from my CBA account to you for the very time than CBA will hold the transfer until I meet CBA requirements for the first time.
