    Paper pumpers

    1. US banks take $5 Trillion and leverage up $100T in debt loans
    2. Fed prints $4.5 Trillion out of fresh air without any labour and buys up everything supporting paper prices
    3. Central banks arround the world start printing at record rates to collapse their currencies
    4. Banks create a shadow banking system of interest rate derivatives over $1000 Trillion
    5. Companies borrow cash - create debt - to buy back stocks and pump up the stock market
    6. Wealth is stolen from you and your children by increasing taxation and inflation.
    7. This ginormous fraud is supported by the propaganda pumpers on every TV, Radio and newspaper network.

And that is just part of the paper pumpers ........

They more than balance the few names of news tellers and PM dealers you list :D

You don't consider Andrew Maguire as having even a slight bit of pumpishness? What about Turd Ferguson (Craig Hemke), Bix Weir and Trace Mayer? I think David Morgan is not a pumper, he always seems pretty reasonable and lots of caveats in what he says.

I think you need to define what you mean by pumper. There is a difference between selling/promoting/marketing PMs versus pumping, which I think is more extreme, not so concerned about facts vs headline grabbing, and use of CAPITALS is automatic qualification.

Ah turd. How could he be left off that list.......endless exciting breathless commentaries on the wittering's of max keiser and the 'guest' post on inevitable collapse of the evil capitalist west and a website so thick with advertising and donation buttons it looks like a popup ad from 1996.

    Bix Weir definitely.

David Morgan is on the record for saying silver is going past $300 an ounce. He's well up on the list. He's called multiple bottoms too and then goes on to say how correct he's been. Yeah in certain interview he does put caveats around it. But he's been far more fever pitched since the drop below $30.

Trace Mayer I'd never heard of him, he's more bitcoin on googling him. Well outside PM pumping for the most part. Obviously MSM and Keiser have picked up on him. Blogger and early adopter of bitcoin.

Will look into Turd, just looking at him at the moment... seems so far to be talking about historical perspective. I will look for his calls.

Re Trace, anyone whos website is Run To Gold http://www.runtogold.com/ surely has to qualify, I mean he isn't saying stroll to gold, or amble to gold.

And if you have to look into Turd, I mean how can you be qualified to put this list together :p We must move in different goldbug circles, I thought Turd's stuff was unavoidable.

I would also recommend Dave Kranzler http://investmentresearchdynamics.com/about/ and not just because I've had run ins with him http://goldchat.blogspot.com.au/2011/05/dave-in-denver-golden-truth.html

What about Harry Dent as an antimatter pumper https://www.bullionvault.com/gold-news/gold-harry-dent-012020142 "Around $700 per ounce is a certainty in gold by 2015 to 2016 and $250 per ounce is a possibility well down the line by 2020-2023."

Yeah... "run to gold" is pumperish but I don't think this guy has had anywhere near the exposure to merit being on the list. He's just too small time.

No, I know of Turd but not his calls. He's certainly pro metals but I have not heard outlandish calls like Morgan's $300 plus or Keiser's $500 plus.

Dave Kranzler, can't remember if I know this guy.

Added Harry Dent to the list. He flips about... Dow 40,000 then Dow Crash etc. etc.

I think as far as Central Bank intervention into markets and the fiat system, that's not really a conspiracy to me. It's admitted very openly so that to me doesn't qualify as a pumper, I've only really heard Turd discuss fringe topics but no outlandish calls like Keiser. If there are link post please.

I wouldn't call Marc Faber a pumper. He doesn't have agenda to push and never talks like a salesman. Also, he makes his money outside PM markets. He just admits that he likes his gold and he has inherent mistrust for governments.

In this list he is the most respectful person, IMO. If he disappears from the media completely, he still will make his money. Very few of the people on that list will be able to make any profits without media attention.

That's the sure sign of a pumper - without media hype they wither quickly.

Marc Faber predicted many crashes one that quickly comes to mind is his "worse than" 1987 style stock market crash by October 2014. And his 2014 predictions... just google his predictions. He is a pumper but very charming and likable fellow. Hmmm... he has a newsletter that he makes money from and it's publicized when he gives interviews. Also in 2015 his prediction is that this year "it is the beginning of the end of paper money". Marc stays on the list. He is very likeable though.

    EDIT:
Ever notice a pattern amongst these guys?

Now I wholeheartedly support the purchase of gold and silver but there's a like a script that these guys keep reading from. Might take a few years but after more than a decade you'll see it. By all means buy gold and silver, go for it. Fiat is fiat and it's a terrible debt based system of exchange but don't overlook the pumpers because of it. Is there an agenda...

What I wanted to say is that the list composed of quite diverse characters. You have the full spectrum: from people who make their money elsewhere, but don't mind publicity (or enjoy it for personal reasons, or whatever) and to total clowns like Keiser or Celente whose livelihood crucially depends on media's attention and hype.

Many heavyweight guys (including billionaires) publish newsletters and charge for subscription. I don't know what Faber's net worth is, but he makes an impression of a guy who makes his money regardless of media exposure.

My definition of a pumper is: someone who creates as much hype as possible around his subject and whose livelihood crucially depends on the publicity. Not everyone from the list falls in that category.

Well Marc is staying for the reasons listed above.

To me it's irrelevant what the net worth of the pumper is or where they source their income from.

Certainly a level media attention is required to make the list. Obviously there's a lot more to getting on the list that I haven't fully expounded and each of the names have multiple reasons for being on there.

As an example people like Jim Rogers or Jim Sinclair or Jim Rickards, the 3 Jim's, are all known for being part of the "establishment" yet voice on MSM about how anti-establishment, it's just so ironic and hypocritical. There's something going on there.
