The horrible things they do to lovely coins!

    Have a look at this litttle eBay item. Butchered, but still up to AUD153.50 for a half sovereign! Mind you, the coin is fairly heavily worn. But its still a half-sov!!

    Sad but if it wasn't for people turning these into necklaces or bracelets I wouldn't have half of the old coins I do.

    I have quite a few gold and silver coins handed down to me with holes in them, they are less worn than the circulating examples I have seen for some of them as well.

    Still not much good in a collection though!
