The Finish On Silver Eagles

    I was wondering are all the years with the BU finish the same? for example I have a 1987 and the current years such as 2017 and they look somewhat different? was the united states mint using different blanks or machines?

    No, they seem to change a lot. Some years are more matte then others.

    Thank you for your reply i kept thinking maybe my 1987 silver eagle was cleaned or polished
