There is an assumption that the tapering was the cause of the gold price movement but I still believe that the tie between the U.S. dollar and gold is still negatively correlated. Gold rose as the u.s. dollar plummeted.......as we see the re-emergence of problems in Europe, the u.s. dollar will rise once again and gold will fall as consequence until such a point that it will stand on its own......tapering will have no effect in time to come....we are probably in the middle of the 3 day effect.....after 3 days the market gets back to reality.

Arc up sunshine! I just like the idea of having a decent, informed conversation on a certain topic. When there's multiple threads on the same topic it's very hard to take part in a conversation that flows and is easy to follow.

Dude you need to chill out, try some meditation or bud lol. I know this is all really scary when you realise that the government doesn't give a shit about you (although you appear to think it's only Labor atm) and that gambling with the global economy is just a big game for some elites who just want to control everything. All you can do is try to positively position yourself and try to ensure that you can provide for yourself and loved ones if the shtf. I would advise you to stop spending your days reading every article about how messed up things are getting economically and politically. While it is important to be informed, I believe that reading too much of this negative stuff can really affect you. I say that because I spent about a year freaking out and reading everything about how the west is moving towards totalitarianism and massive wealth redistribution towards the elite and it depressed the shit out of me, especially because I felt that nobody else knew or cared about it. Stay informed, but don't let it consume your life. What is the point of living if you can't enjoy your life? Also, I thought you said you bought in at $40 and lost like $20k?
If you guys had the brains to work it out I actually start all the threads because it gets more people involved in issues and they see more topics to chat about each time I start a new thread.........The idea isn't just to be a thread monger!. I'm really worried about the world at the moment and if you people ar'nt at least mildly worried then thers something seriously wrong..... The U.S is going thru some extremely big fianancial changes and it will effect the entire worlds economies if they don't sort something out soon.......Grow up you morons!
Once again, there is a difference between being worried and being hysterical. Hopefully once you start working and the pressure of trying to find a job is lifted from your shoulders you will be able to look for solutions in a more constructive way. It is obvious that people here enjoy conversations (and flaming) about various important subjects on here. The reason you have gotten so much more flaming than most others is your tendency to start new threads about topics that are already being discussed and the starting of multiple threads for very similar topis.
