Any prize for the person who travels the furthest to come to the meeting ? LOL

I have consulted with the ball and chain and will be there .... it was a tough choice as could have stacked more silver over a trip. :p

    +1 to list.

Just a quick reminder that the Sydney Stackers Lunch is on this Saturday.

As stated above, we're lucky enough to be having some guests coming up from Melbourne, and I'm sure there are a number of Sydney people who are keen to make Captain Kookaburra and our forum admin goldpelican feel welcome. It also looks like Aurora et Luna has recovered enough from his recent operation to join us as well, so if you left a message for him in the "Get well soon Steve" thread he'll be able to think you for your kind words in person.

If you have something better to do than wander through The Rocks, eat, drink and make merry with other people who share your love of all things precious metal...well, you should probably do it. The rest of us will be at the pub.

Hope to see you all there.

Damn, this looks like a great meet. You'll pack out the pub!
Can't make it unfortunately... sporting finals.
Hopefully will be able to get down someday soon

Any interest in me bringing a limited edition 2oz Silver Coloured Lunar Year of the Rabbit Coin (1,000 mintage) for possible trade with 2oz Lunar Coloured Tiger ?

Could also bring a Celebrate Australia 1oz Silver Proof 'Western Australia' coin, and the Perth Mobile press mint your own 2011 $1 'P' mintmark coin.

Maybe I'll go buy a 10oz silver bar and bring that along, plus some 1966 50 cents for fun.

(edited to add correct text thingys)

    Getting there....

Bus numbers 431 and 433 stop at Central Railway then run along George Street passing Town Hall/QVB, King St by the Apple Store and Wynyard. After stopping on the corner at George and Essex at The Rocks they then turn left up Essex St (conveniently passing Harts Pub on the way up the hill).
The hill is quite steep, it won't be possible to stop the bus and let you off half way up but a friendly word to the driver and they can let you out at the top after they turn right onto Cumberland St. Then it is an easy walk down to the pub.

The fare is $2.00 anywhere within the city.

    Looking forward to meeting up.

    Cheers all.

My weekend has become a lot more hectic than I originally planned. I won't be able to make it.

    Have fun :)

The secret handshake is: you hold out a 10oz silver bar, I grasp the bar in your hand, we shake three times, then you let go of the bar.

Bring a few of them with you in case you want to practice for next time. It can be tricky to get the hang of.

Seriously though, we'll probably be out in the beer garden or you can just ask any of the staff where to find us.

Note to self. Airport security machines are set off by PMs resulting in questions being asked. LOL.

Was nice to put faces to the names on the forum. Unfortunately I wasn't able to hang around but I did get a chance to drop in and say hi. Hopefully next time I'll have a chance to stick around. :)

It was great meeting up with You Mighty Atom and the other guys.
    Your comments are spot on.
Anyone who missed this New Year's lunch can still enjoy a similar experience every Wednesday at our regular meet.
The beer and food at our regular watering hole isn't as good, but the chat is always interesting.
    Cheers
