the killing of innocents is forbidden in islam....and you forgot the teensy weensy detail that anyone who is not a moslem is not considered innocent...kind of puts a different, and accurate picture. as far as suiting your own purpose goes, so does your ommision of the truth.

Of course we do....the emotionally retarded politically correct would have it no other way. Just try quoting the koran { which I've read twice} and see how many start frothing at the mouth.- Which if you think about it, is actually amusing.

generally, I'd agree, but as I wasn't there and dont know the minute by minute build up, it's hard, if not impossible to say what we would do.

Obviously there is no concept of jihad in any of those faiths but if you mean religious or cultural based violence:

Actually Hindu nationalists have been responsible for horrible violence on the sub continent.
    One small example:
    http://www.worldbulletin.net/news/117297/hindus-attack-muslims-in-india-15-killed

    Buddhists persecuting and attacking Muslims:
    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persecution_of_Muslims_in_Burma

And do I really need to bring up any one of the multitude of Christian examples?

I know this argument, and while there is something to be said for it, there's one big problem... how many of this sub humans buddies could then go out and get guns and do the same thing? Normal humans want to live, it's the one's that want to die to get laid that are a bit more problematic.

Yeah sure they are all Sharlie, Not a single Charlie Hebdo Cartoon or front page to be seen anywhere though huh ?

The very thing that got the staff members of the magazine slaughtered by Islamic nutjobs seems to be completely ignored
by the seeming masses standing united with the dead corpses of the magazines staff.

Has anyone seen a Charlie Hebdo front page or cartoon shown on the MSM since the event ?

People are rallying around the right to free expression not celebrating everything that was freely expressed. Plenty of what they did was in poor taste but that doesn't mean people shouldn't be mad when someone tries to censor them using an AK.

"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"

    .
nope, plenty of examples there...although one certain group does have more than all others combined, and then multiplied. - re the Hindus, yes, they have done a bit of fighting...I guess after a certain group murdered 80 - 90 million
Hindus, they thought it was time to star fighting back.
re Burma, after 840,000 behghalis invaded/illegally resettled themselves in Myamar , took over towns and start raping and massacring the local population, they to thought fighting BACK was due.
Buhdissm and Hindudusim aren't my area of expertise, so I cant say wether they to follow a ideology that states clearly when they meet those who dont follow their beliefs to offer them 3 choices
    1. convert
    2. live in subjugation as a 4th class person with almost no rights
    3. be killed
    There's only 1 group that does that... { but all religions have lots to answer for....some a hell of a lot more than others, no pun}

When we travelled through Malaysia a couple of years back we visited a couple of Muslim Museums, basically they were the history of Islam with relics from the past. A lot of the time the same scenario was put in place as the Islamic merchants extended their influence through Asia.

    1. Visit non-Muslim rulers explaining the economic benefits they would gain if they traded with the Islamic merchants.
    2. Explain that if they converted to Islam then they would be welcome to trade (if not, they were effectively shut off from the trade routes as their neighbours converted)
    3. Local leader converted to Islam.
    4. Whole provinces converted from whatever religion they were (maybe they were Bududduduism or Christian or pagagaan or whatever).
    5. There was generally no direct pressure for individuals in the communities to adopt Islam, it's just that if you didn't convert you had to pay more tax and you were not protected by the State or local ruler.
