Did they hack the safe (i.e. open it gracefully), destroy the safe, or remove the safe?

Either way, I hope they get caught and you get your stuff back. Good luck.

Did you by any chance record the serial number of the Coca Cola Sovereign.
If that coin crops up on ebay knowing the serial number could help to identify the thief.

    I pmd you buddy.

Theres nothing worse than having someone go through your house. Absolute maggots. I'm guessing it was done by someone who knew about the safe.

I personally chose to pay for a box in a bank vault to keep my stuff a long time ago.

My heart goes out to you mate.

That is terrible aussilver. I hope someone hears or knows of some information to help catch the culprit or culprits.

All the stuff you got from the mint that has serial numbers should be on record at the mint too. As well as the stuff that hasnt.

Mate if you happen to have serial numbers already, maybe you could post on here so everyone knows the items are stolen if they are offered to any of us.

Also if any of the others had certain marks we could look out for them on the net and locally. They will pop up somewhere in the future.

I would also make a list of who has your address and who knows you have coins etc and make a shortlist from there. I really hope it has nothing to do with anyone here or where you work.

I, too am saddened to hear of your loss. You seem to be handling it better than many I know. It is just another reminder that wealth is fleeting and has nothing to do with the value of each of us.

Do what you can to retrieve your items, but hopefully it aids in some personal development. In events like this, people can turn very very bitter. For others, they simply pity those who take what is not theirs and develop a sense of compassion for such people. I would like to think I would fall into the second category. I hope you, too, fall into the latter category.

    Once again, my sincere condolences.

Not good news. I hope the culprits get caught and your belonging returned.

Thats rotten luck... I would be pretty upset if I had that amount of gold taken.

I hope something can be done to track down your gold, or those who stole it.

Not to sure what the model is but it looked like it could have taken a bit and a gun safe from Bunnings which took a couple of hits on the handle and bingo!!

If you happen to find out who the thieving sh*tbag is don't let anyone else know that you know.
Then you will never be linked to their disappearance. ;)

Sorry to hear that you were robbed .. hopefully it was covered by your insurance.

Sadly most gun safes are designed to keep the honest folk out ??
Determined thieves .. not so much

Do the Police notify the Perth mint, cashies, refineries etc... or is that your job ?

It really, really sucks what suburb are you in. Someone may hear something more local that is all. :(

So was it a gun safe, or was that a separate safe that was also hit?
