Harder to pick up in Australia for a fair price. Harder to recoup the premium you paid.

I have had the idea to have Bangles made to a specific and easily recognised size. Say 1/10th etc ---> the price would be based on spot and the premium the same as coins. I still think that idea is a winner

Keen as mustard for a decent deal on jewellery.

Word of warning though - SPOT is my benchmark. Jewellers might get by charging 500% mark up but they live in the pre-internet era. The Aussie Consumer is getting smarter (as I browse amazon for unrelated gear).

Everything I have see at pawn shops is way overpriced. I'm yet to spot a bargain. Are they that good where you are from?

Should start your own pawn business. Thats how you get wayyyyy under spot from motivated sellers

A great way to get reluctant partners to let you spend money on precious metals.

You should do alright providing people trust you, I am avoiding it as I don't know enough not to get ripped off but if there was someone with some knowledge who could go around cherry picking the good stuff from pawn shops then why not.

The ony trouble is people's tastes re all different and you could have the stuff sitting on the shelf for ages waiting for someone to take a shine to it.

Mind you if you sell it for spot then you shouldn't have much of a problem.
