Hi, I live in New York and just started stacking. I bought my first American Eagles recently online, but it would be nice to have a place to go to buy a few rounds. Anyway, I go to nyc's chinatown on canal st pretty regularly and there are a ton of jewelry stores there. A few have coins in the windows so i may walk in and see if they do regular silver coin business. But I thought it would be nice if they put a sign up, something along the lines of ," Stackers Welcome" So I decided to make just that sign. I had it printed at my local walgreens for $0.20 and will put it in a silver colored frame and see if any of the stores would pit it in their window.
That eagle has a fingerprint on it. Ew. Haha all joking aside, it would be cool to see signs like that in bullion dealers' stores. Yeah, i didnt see the fingerprint till it was too late. Just messing around with GIMP to see if i could make my one coin look like a bunch. Looks reasonable from a distance. Admin, sure, I dont mind you putting it up. Thanks.
Google must have this forum on 'scan frequently' setting as that image already showed up in their image search.
Haha, i dont play for either of those teams I havent really enjoyed the knicks since they traded mark jackson, although ive never enjoyed the nets much. I actually went back to chinatown today and was successful in getting someone to put the sign up. It probably didnt hurt that i bought a mapleleaf from him. He hadnt really heard the term stacker before, but had some clients that fit the description, so he was nice enough to put the sign in his window. I think it helped that i put it in a nice frame. He basically ran a small counter out of a number of counters in the store. It seemed like he was the only one that did silver coins or bullion. Anyway, there is a picture here. Its funny, at first the imaged showed up when i looked at google images under "stackers welcome" Now i dont see it at all when i search on my ipad, although it shows on my phone. Just being paranoid i guess.
