Bit ugly isn't it... I prefer something with a little class http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-39-27-...669?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a1abff325
There might be some who would say it's ugly. But they'd probably be in the minority and need their head checked. However as already stated, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. re ebay. sorry mate, but if you think that 39 ct piece on ebay is the real deal and not created, then I'd steer clear of investing in gemstones. Do a little research on Tsavorite garnets and you will soon find out that any piece of over 1 ct faceted is a very reasonable and hard to get find. But you picked the stone correctly.
24 ct of Bi-colour toumaline. A bit ugly but it would still be easy enough to sell. With tourmaline generally selling at approx $100/ct faceted, I doubt this stone would get full money. But it might sell to some-one at a reasonable price despite being potentially ugly to some. Do you need anymore hotel 46? I'm happy to keep posting the ugly ones for you.
What I was trying to point out is this seems to be a show and tell thread. Just like a motorbike thread that was on here a few weeks ago. Now everyone knew that the bike was not the best example of a motor bike there was and an extra $50k would have had a much better example of a bike... but no one said what an ugly bike. Pointing out the someones stuff is not the best stuff money can buy is redundant
Crap. I've been responding to this thread for the better part of two days before I posted that picture. And only after old mate (hotel 46) challenged me with his " tell us about some of your stones and stories. put your stone where your posts are." So I did just that ie it was either put up or shut up. And I'm more than happy to get in a d*ck swinging competition when I'm pretty sure of what I'm swinging.
i am directing my message to the OP (1for1) to continue posting nice stones. you on the other hand, is a waste of time which is reflected in the posts of other members.
Mate, you have a hide. You challenge some-one to put up or shut up, then when you get smacked down in no uncertain terms, you still stick your head up? Your the only common folk I tried to teach a lesson to mate and only when you invited it. Your still the puppy wanting/needing a pack to run with I see. Now perhaps you should take a little of your own advise........
Lucky luke making more friends i see : Start a thread & show us some good stones not the ugly ones Those ones were shit
Obviously its not just "Newbs" that blindly follow the leader. Thanks for the thread1for1. It's been most enlightening! And by all means, please keep posting your pics! I'd hate for anyone to think they weren't appreciated!!
ahhhhh when there is blood in the air, the hyena's skulk around the edges. True to form mate. True to form. You get the consideration your due...................
LOL Read your own posts from the beginning of this thread mate. At least I'm writing in English (with the occasional typo and spelling mistake). Hissy fit? In your dreams sunshine. And stick with the "cut and paste specialist". It might make you feel a little better.
 : Come on lucky just givin ya a bit of your own medicine . . I was serious about starting a thread & showing us some good stuff with a ruler like 1for1 .those stones you posted pics of were by your own admission ugly i would be interested in seeing some good stuff .
Mate, you couldn't be more wrong. Where in hell did you get that idea? I'm enjoying myself but as I said before, feel free to take your own advice!!
You Call that Watermelon Tourmaline? Tis a lit'lel thugly for mine.. Thanks to thatguy for crystalising some intelligent thought on the subject... this is just the stuff i happen to own, not my DREAM GEMS or anything.. as stated i actually prefer included interesting stuff with a contrarion POV... Appreciate your time taking photos and upping them though... cheers. 1for1
No, I didn't call it watermelon Tourmaline at all. I called it bi-colour tourmaline............ just the stuff I happen to own, 100% natural stones, and more often than not they have slight inclusions.
