Its good for a break it might make people think about genuine posts about RE instead of most of the useless posts that usually get made just to start fights between the members . .It wouldnt bother me if it got deleted altogether you cant have a discussion in there without some emptyhead that isnt interested in RE making a smart comment to start trouble anyway.

No, you've nailed it. I think. for those missing the cut and thrust of the real estate thread, there's always a good debate in markets & economies when discussion turns to income tax.
You can already see how passionate some people become when talking about Silver prices, the bulls and the bears alternating between their verbal arguments. Constantly arguing never ending speculation . Compared to RE, most people would have much tinier holdings than Silver and if you assume a linear increase of passion with a 1:1 correlation of the underlying asset prices you can imagine how fun and fantastic the RE sub forums are
