    tell me about it. i responded by email after printing and scanning - by that time my internet connection was being shaped to dial-up speed and to attach the file to my email took another whole hour. it was excruciating. still no response but i paid em anyway

    I got Heidi too, infact she called me. I left my name down at 10:25am Sydney time with the mint. 10:30 started to order online, tried to submit at 10:33am. Couldn't submit the order, system was crashing.

    Then my mobile rang, it was a perth mint officer. Ended up taking the order over the phone.

    I have yet to receive the confirmation, but I'm sure it will be ok.

    IMO, she was nice and friendly =D A++++ experience

    I got Heidi as well - order confirmation came through literally 30 secs after I hang up. Must of been my sexy baritone voice :D

    Of course, your dividends are not always necessarily franked, due to the holding period rule.

    You have to own the shares for a continuous period of 45 days or more (not counting purchase and sale days) or 90 days in the case of certain preference shares, to be certain of the franking.

    Otherwise, if you receive annual dividend income above $5,000, then your dividends will not be franked, and you will get taxed at your marginal rate.
