    Greetings
would any of you guys know of a Smelting Service in the uk?

My stack is growing and so far consists of 1oz Britania's , 1oz Bars, a few .925 proofs as well as uk pre '47 coins.

im also picking up a few world coins (fiat not bullion) and understand the difficulties using these as currency should the SHTF

My question is does anyone know of or have experience of smelting services in the uk...my thoughts are to smelt my foregin silver coins into bars?

any pointers would be much appreciated

Just go to Baird near London airport. You might fins if you have 20kg or so that refining is cheaper.

Yeah refine it at Bairds and get proper hallmark.

A backyard homemade silver bar will be worth even less than little known world coins.
