It's easy to plot closing price vs date for DJIA in excel, but i'm tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to plot both open and closing price vs date in excel... (just one dataset)

So the closing price on the 1st of the month must coincide (on the x-axis) with the opening price on the 2nd of the month... etc..

That way I can see if there is a "gap" between close of previous day and open on the next day.

Can somebody help me with this please? Maybe send me an example spreadsheet with some data and line chart so i can see how to do it.

Basically I want the graph in excel to end up looking something like this graph:

    http://au.finance.yahoo.com/q/ta?s=^DJI&t=5d&l=on&z=l&q=l&p=&a=v,vm&c

except it will only have open and close prices for each day (with no points inbetween)

    cheers
