    Hi all,

This is the list of confirmed attendees for the Snake launch in Perth on Monday 3rd September. If you're expecting to be on the list, please respond to the emails already sent.

There's space for a handful more names - if you wish to attend, please post on this thread, and then send me an email with your full name (not forum ID) and your phone number. Friday will be the absolute cutoff.

There will be buying limits on the 1oz Snakes on the day, I have been advised that these are:

    5x 1oz Gold
    10x 1oz Silver

I believe other sizes will be available, but these are the in-person buying limits on the mintage limited coins. Bring cash!

Also, there will be a Silver Stackers meetup directly after the trip to the bullion desk, with an auction to be held - see http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-29562-perth-mint-lunar-snake-launch-auction-list.html for the auction.

10 x 1oz silver bullion. Not even a whole roll.

That's pretty silly really - I understood the limit of 20 last year but 10. . . . Anyway, thanks again for organising GP. Still looking forward to it.

    Cheers

lol i was told 5 silver 2 weeks ago, then early last week, was told it 10.

Now the beans have been spilt publicly, i can also say you'll need ID for the Lunar Coins, your name goes on file or whatever apparently, so you cant just walk out the shop and walk back in to buy some more.

It is lame, should of been a 1 roll roll limit, but hey, its better then 5.

Maybe 10 is the new roll but don't worry you should be able to buy a roll of 20 with the privy mark

Thanks for organising this GP, looking forward to Ron's presentation etc.

    Blake.

Hope not.. But was told its just to stop people buying to many.
Will suck for all the interstate flyers coming in, especially if they do enforce the limit by taking names and IDs to stop you buying more then allocation allowed.

When i was first told "5 silver snakes" by an employee, i was like "5 rolls?" haha but another time when i asked she was reading from an email, confirming 10 silvers and ID check per customer.

Well I would say people bragging on here about going back for seconds, thirds and fourth rolls of Dragons last year at the launch may have had something to do with it

Just a quick question. After the meet, and the mint opens to the public, my former +1 would like to buy some snakes too. Does he need to preregister with the mint using this form or can he just rock up with ID?

^^^Just rock up with your ID and you'll be sweet. I didnt even click that form link, because from personal experience anyone can just turn up and purchase products up to a certain amount before ID is taken. However lunars maybe a different story as i've heard ID is required and noted down just for allocation reasons. so better to bring it anyway!

...and cash as well. pretty sure they dont do credit or eftpos, or they do but with higher fees, i cant remember. The Mints' in the city so theres banks/atms everywhere.
Anyway im sure you'll sleep better if you actually call the mint over any queries you may have. The ladies are always very helpful and really nice!! I've only found one to be a b!tch everytime on the phone and in person, but i think thats just her attitude.
    cheers.

    +1 to dex.

Just to add. Perth Mint does have eftpos (but cannot allow credit transactions for bullion purchases).
ID is required for purchases over $5k for Austrac purposes.

They may ask for ID to enforce purchase limits as outlined by GP.

The mint was (is) closed when I thought of the possibility more than simple ID would be required. I don't know if we're purchasing our bullion from the Perth Mint side, or the Perth Mint Bullion side. The 2 websites require different levels of ID to purchase. I wasn't sure if that difference translated to the foot traffic too.

I presume we will meet at the PM front gate like last year and I presume we meet at the same time as last year. I have been traveling so I may have missed the time. If the meeting time has been previously posted - apologies.
Thanks again to GP for organizing this annual event...we all appreciate it.
