SLR hit 32 cents today. That's 23% return on a 72 hour investment. Not bad :D

    Beauty!
    EVN hit $2 too.
Gains on SLR now offset my losses on oil. All on paper of course.

i took my profits.. heaps of opportunity elsewhere and although this could keep running it might not.. still quite a few goldies that are yet to race SLR has now made some really decent gains.

SLR closed this week @ $0.335. I'm expecting it to pull back early next week, possibly to the previous high of $0.30. At that point it would be great to see it hold and build support before continuing the run.

O.k. another one of my completely useless posts.
I was sorely tempted to get into SLR after the first run over 30 cents. I half expected the initial pullback to 27 cents but was too woosy to buy when it transpired.
My oversized gut, however, is trying to tell me to be patient as this could just work out to be by far the biggest false move in gold in a long time.
I think I will just keep my hands in my pockets until later in the year and then make my decision. I am seriously contemplating selling off some 1966 50's to fund the purchase.

Already doubled my money on paper.

If this a false move then the weakness in gold price will become obvious possibly forewarning of the push to below the $1000 mark. We are now in one of many "big gamble" zones.

Drill results today were "incredible" -- i was lucky to buy back in at the dip to 29c..

Care to name drop other goldies.. yeah sure

    I am in:

PMY, BYR, SLR, GRY, BCN, BGS & SAU - not recommending them all.. its just i go for high risk stocks and many of these are yet to explode to the upside.. also owing to the fact they are exploratory!

You should follow 1fordamoney on Hotcopper if your into gold stocks.. actually theres a bunch of goldy guys to follow who are true gold stock gurus:

Ophir - PRU RSG MML RMS TRY SAR SLR AGG EVN NST OGC DRM BDR RRL SBM MOY TGZ BLK GOR BYR TAM GCY SAU WPG WCN
    wombat53
PennyP - ABU BAR BYR EXG KBL LCK MOY NST RMS SAR SAU TAM TRL WCN

SectorLead is another guru to follow.. guys a genius

All the gurus are gravitating to BYR but do you own research! http://hotcopper.com.au/asx/byr/

    Nice one.
I wish i had more money at the time i did my 14c purchase. Unfortunately my bank account was very thin 6 month ago :( so was only able to do a small purchase.

It was my big gamble. When I saw the mining market get hammered to rock bottom and SLR pretty much held steady and had no debt with new management coming in, I figured the bottom was in for SLR and it was a decent bet.
I think there is some chance it can rise back into the dollar range when the mining sector recovers.
I wasn't so lucky in oil, I thought the bottom was in for that and then it halved :(

You need to balls to hold on to this one. Bought @ 70c a year or so back, took a loss.

Bought in again @ 30c a few months ago and holding. Is that a new 52 week high today? Might be time to add some more.
