You heard it here first, "Barnaby Joyce - Leader of the Opposition."

If Barnaby Joyce wins the seat for New England.
If Joyce topples Truss as leader of the Nationals.
If Gillard stays in power and Labor is annihilated.
Then there is a chance the Nats will have more members than Labor.
Then Barnaby Joyce will not only be be Leader of the National Party, Deputy Leader of the Coalition, but also Leader of the Opposition!

    sammysilver, Jun 11, 2013

Joyce also warned of sovereign risk a decade ago and people shook their heads in disbelief. Thought he was a loony.

    sammysilver, Nov 16, 2014

The Beetrooter has got street smarts and ambition, he is not going anywhere. It looks like the Coalition is likely to lose the next election, perfect time to leave the Coalition and have the Nationals go after city seats. I wouldn't be surprised to see some Libs shift across. The Nats would pick up all of the disaffected Abbott voters.

Hmmm, I’m obviously not as sharp as once. I thought I was describing 100% of politicians.

I'm having second thoughts about Barnaby resigning! Maybe we should give him the benefit of the doubt? Just like it was possible that he didn't know he was a NZ citizen. Maybe he slipped on a banana peel in his office while accidentally landing between the legs of his female staffer while simultaneously impregnating her was also without his knowledge. :p

Heard from an insider in Canberra last night - there is more about to hit the media regarding his developer buddy and their dealings... unfortunately, it will sink him.

You can always depend on one thing with any political entity - looking after their self-interest.

The National Party now has much to lose and very little to gain by keeping Barnaby Joyce around.

I'd bet behind the scenes, the proverbial daggers are out - and the bullseye is on Barnaby's back.

Barny will hold on to his last thread cause parliament is his 'porky' farm... he wouldn't be able to get any 'porky' if he wasn't a party leader.. especially with that face.... and teeth!

I'm sticking to my idea of shooting him or a public lynching
    Because
Politicians as a 'trade" have the most amount of power in the world
So in my view they should pay the ultimate price
Lie & you get slung up in the middle of the district you represent
Might make the next person to fill their shoes to have a bit of a think about what they get up to :)
    End of rant

Of course he should not resign.
All he did was have an affair.
I would not be surprised to see this manipulated by the left so they make it seem similar in nature to rape.

Possibly Barnaby should have just used his cigar like Bill. After Mal's proclamation, I can see the Parliaments orders of Arturo Fuente' will be on the rise.............

Addendum: If you are going to string a man up for sexual relations, will we then do the same for every other pollie that has had indecent dealings in all other circumstances........we would have no pollies left or right.
"Let he who is free from sin cast the first stone"
What a bunch of sanctimonious hypocrites, drawn and quartered for the sake of taking the heat and scrutiny from every other snout in the trough.
