Thanks grizz yea your right and I'm sure yennus feels the pressure buying for everyone but I'm not a picky person and have never complained or even returned a coin if/when I really didn't like it :)

My "junk" coins go in the home safe and the good ones go in the bank safety deposit box !

    A 70 and I will !!! :)

We can all dream of a 70 it would be really sweet if one of us could score one though !!!

NGC has graded 117 of these with only two 70's

PCGS has graded only 18 with no 70's

Hhaha... thanks 25Grizzlies and Comeaux :) ... yeah, a little stressful buying for the elite Panda squad :)

I always try to get the best coins for everyone... following that Golden rule... "Do unto others as I would have them do unto me" ... or in Panda terms "Only sell the Pandas that I wouldn't mind keeping". :)

Here are the pics of the two types of 2000 GuangZhou Pandas that I've seen.

    ShenZhen:ShenYang

    The ShenZhen type: Coarse textures

The ShenYang type: Silky smooth textures

I've seen the texture differences between normal 2000 Pandas too (both frosted and mirrored).

But I'm not sure if the texture differences are restricted to specific mints, or if all mints have different textures.

My *guess* is that as the dies get older, perhaps the texturing starts to shift.

My *guess* is that because I've seen the Mirrored Pandas have both textures (silk and coarse), that it probably is a die issue and not just a mint issue.

This is my first time inspecting the 2000 GuangZhou Pandas, so it is an interesting learning experience for me. I hope you will forgive any mistakes I may make in analyzing them.

If you hold in your hand and compare the 2000 mirror and frosted there is definitely a different finish between the two minted 2000 S10Y pandas.

I'm not sure if you can see it here in the picture but the Shanghai Mint(mirror)on the right definitely has a smoother and more "glossy/shiny" finish than the Shenzhen GuoBao Mint (frosted) on the left does.
