I have. Be sure to ask about condition if the coin pictured is a stock photo. I've canceled purchases with them after finding out that the slabbed coins had spots.
Yes. I buy a lot from him. The coins are ok. But need to share shipping costs and the prices are high. He dont sell outside ebay and when you ask to add more coins to your buy. He sell the new coins for the same in ebay (high prices) Only acept paypal. But if you win 2 or 3 auctions is ok. Very well packaged and very fast shipping
Send to him pm and say thor1220 recomend you. Its my ebay user. And ask for milk spot free. I allways pm the seller previous a finish the auction to ask for milk spot free and scratch free.
Ebay user: continental.coin. Someone buy for him? He have fair price coins and cheap shipping. The coins are milk spot free? Good quality?
Hi Thor122 , i was looking at one of the auction which end yesterday 2001D panda .. I believe there is a milk spot near the rim area of the temple side ? That auction end at around 120USD if not wrong .. For sure is that the seller does reply to your messages as i was asking for another panda if there is milk spot .. and the seller by the name of George reply no . So now i ask first before bidding ... One seller by the name of e-coin does state if got milk spot but the shipping cost back to singapore is 50USD Any one have problem with e-coin this ebay seller ?
Hello Lim ... yes Ross at eCoins has been very good to deal with, I have not purchased many items from him but those that I did were in excellent condition.
I try to buy from e-coin a few times. But the shipping is expensive. I ask to buy others coins to spread shipping. He say win the auctions. I prefer firststrikecoins. But same thing. I need to win 2 or 3 auctions to spread the shipping costs. The two dealers use stocks photos. Firstrike if you ask milk spot free. He will send a milk spot free coin. E-coins. I dont make buys.
I bought from firststrikecoin once and he insisted to use EMS. However he said he can use registered mail on my next purchase but I can't confirm whether he will keep his word until I buy something from him again. He has good coins, but I prefer a seller who is willing to use registered mail and declare low amount on custom form. Don't make me paying 15% tax + $15 on a $200 purchase. That is ridiculous.
Bought quite a few from ecoins. Nice coins but you need to buy a few at a time to spread the price of postage. The Good thing is he calculates the value on silver wt not cost price which makes it easier to get under the $1000 gst threshold.
Before a person buys, bids or makes an offer on any coin/item whether it's through ebay, paypal or a dealers website it's advisable to know the rules BEFORE the purchase is made and not after
Firststrike seem to treat buyers differently .. Recently i won 2 bids and he insisted of sending 2 parcels out instead of one .. hence i need to pay twice the shipping cost .. hence no way for me to spread out my shipping cost for 2-3 coins auction unless i win 5 auction and above then it make sense for me as he ship out flat rate of 50 bucks but I will be charge GST in my country Anyway his coins recently are getting more and more expensive ..... I want that 2004 beijing expo ms 69 ... sobs sobs...
+1 It's the same in Australia... I once paid customs almost $300 for a $1750 coin. Anyone who declares 'value' now I won't buy from them. There are plenty who don't, ask before you bid.
