    Interesting the news hasn't talked about this. Very extreme currency collapse!

    It will be like AUD/USD being 40c

    You didn't give a reason why it is happening? Low gas prices is one?

    So now the holes we dig are worth less when will our dollar start falling hard? Good thing we are really good at renovating and buying houses, that should keep our economy strong. ;)

    Chart the inverse currency against the oil price and I'd suggest you would have a decent correlation.

    This again proved that I did a right thing investing rubble in gold and silver ;-)) Maybe USD looks now a better option but I do not believe in it's bright future as many on this forum.

    Luckily there has been no noticeable change in prices here on the ground (yet) beyond the inevitable premium for imported fruit and vegetables in winter time.

    I face the challenge of having an ever increasing pile of roubles. I am paid in roubles, but the salary is denominated in Euros, so I am not affected by the fluctuations. It is more about picking the time to get my cash out.
