This is somewhat inspired by Jason1's "Rubbery Shit to Gold" post, thought I would do something different just for fun.

My wife found someone giving away these rubbery and metallic pieces of crap in their hard rubbish, she went over to pick them up and came back home with 52 of these random rubbery pieces of crap and 111 pieces of metallic pieces of crap.

While I'm not going to be able to sell into the hype of a current running Woolies campaign, there is a market on eBay for these pieces of crap.

So here's the deal, tonight I will create two listings on eBay starting at $0.99 on a 7 day auction. Whatever amount I make after taking out eBay, PayPal and postage costs, I will buy X amount of BTC.

Over time I'll keep track of how much that small amount of BTC is worth over time from the initial rubbery-and-metallic-shit-to-crypto trade.

Wish me luck and feel free to follow along for the ride :)

@Jason1 why do you feel the need to constantly put down other people’s choices in order to make yourself feel better?

I turned the Coles little shop things into quite a few oz of silver by selling them in lots on eBay when they first come out. The unopened packets sold the best.
Good luck and be good to follow and see how it all goes, great thinking.

All done! Here's the final result - Rubbery Shit sold for a measley $6.50 and Metallic Shit outperformed my expectations and pulled in $35.01

    upload_2021-3-19_12-20-56.png

After taking out fees, postage, PayPal fees, we're left with a grand total of $35.64 to go and buy BTC :D

Not expecting to get rich off this (but then again who knows, maybe BTC will go to the MoOn!!!11!)

Placed the order at CoinSpot and bagged 0.000472 BTC, also after taking a small hit in fees :)

    Currently AUD$34.91

    Let the fun begin :D

Bitcoin has been meeting strong resistance at psychological level of US$60k the past day or so, if/when this breaks there might be a bit of a pump

Been a while since I've updated this, what a rollercoaster BTC has been on, dropped as low as $29k ish, and looked down and out. Now back above $40k

Not going to lose any sleep over it mate, if you've followed along, this was free money from selling useless shit my wife found :D

Then I understand why you are so calm. I invested my savings in bitcoin when the rate was around $30,000.

This is a very original and powerful initiative.

If you would have done this back in 2012 and bought BTC, you could buy yourself at least a brand new car today!

Some believe BTC will hit thousands of dollars, who knows, good luck!
