Wow! This is encouraging... PCGS having their own conservation services!

Let's hope it creates some competition and not a duopoly.

Sorry to say I am not sure if the result is as impressive as I like to see.

Take a look at the circled area.

It might be interesting to send it in to NCS to see what they are able to do.

It certainly looks better, but I wouldn't call it MS 69.

Low has a keen eye:) very slight shadow between the 1 and 9 and a little at the top of the coin ,I have a batch of coins I want to send to NCS, I think I am going to invest another 26.50 in the coin , so far 250.00 plus 50 to pcgs ,I want it in a NGC holder with the variety attribution, for no other reason that most of my other coins are NGC,and im curious to see if NCS can make it even better, there is a coin on ebay right now pcgs ms69, 1999 LD serif ,doing 830.00 at auction with 4 hours left ,im tempted to cash out and run :) but I am having fun playing with this coin, I feel like I brought it back from the dead:) well just by typing this message I talked myself into it,I will post the ncs pics:)

I am not sure I would risk sending to NCS/NGC. I doubt you will get a MS69 if you send it to them.

Tamo, dont beat up on the poor bear:)he has been through alot :) actually I am fortunate enough to have 5 ms69 99,ld,serif.........4 ngc and this one ,when compared side by side, this one to me is # 3 ........ well we shall see ......pcgs did not downgrade the coin , Ngc should not cross it over to their label as an ms69 if the coin does not rate the grade.................

thanks for posting the b4 and after, I have been wanting to see pictures like this, it looks like they did a good job, I wouldnt think ncs would be able to get it looking any better but it would be interesting to see.

without doubt a tremendous improvement !

It's worth a try to send to NGC but highly doubt they will cross it as a 69. I've sent flawless PCGS 69's and requested cross-over at 69 that were rejected.

    Good luck !
