Hi, Im thinking Perth Mint on the 1st is going to be epic.. thing is im not going to be there.. can someone take a camera? Id like to see images of th.e Queue to purchase.. signage "limit one per customer" SOLD OUT etc .. this could really be a historic day. I seriously need to get to Perth! Maybe post a youtube vid? thanks in advance. 1for1
Plenty of no photography signs in the mint for security purposes - but a snapshot of the queue out front (if there is one) shouldn't be a problem.
Its not the pics of the mint that are interesting - its the people queue that will be Reminds me of mid April and all those pics of people at ABC in Syd or elsewhere id also like to see the pics
Yeah i didnt actually mean inside.. but ive never been so it was a vague request.. i thought it may have been some form of an outside kiosk.. didnt relaise the retail store was in side the actual mint. Unwrapping the first tube would be a sweet vid. I was imagining a dream world in the school holidays type queueage but i have a wild imagination so... I have a contact in Perth so if no-one thinks there will be queues they could walk in walk out in no time or? that would be helpful for me to know 1for1
It was only a joke. I don't think anyone would want to be kicked out on the day. Why ruin a good thing.
Somehow i believe the 'Lunar mania' is somewhat confined to this forum and other like-forums around the world. I dont believe there will be lines out on the street waiting for the mint to open to the public. Happy to be wrong though. I am looking forward to seeing the design for the first time... I must be the only one that cant find it on google.....
the way the inside is set up means that even a long line could wind around the jewellery section and even into the other shop where the numismatics are sold. If it got to the outside it would be a reasonable sized line, but security would be opening the door and letting people in. However, before the mint opened I guess the line could be outside. Since it is a tourist venue people are always taking photos of each other outside on the steps or walled areas. If a long line of people was to be seen in the background I guess that might be interesting. Might have to just take a sketch artist along.
