Anyone know of a refiner that would melt down a truck load of silver spoons as an example and turn it into 9995 silver bars for me?

Would like to know what the procedure is and how much they charge.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Roo,

Before ya do the big smelt on those spoons! Is there any chance of me having a peek at the hallmarks on them?

    Cheers

Are you trying to refine at the same time.... i.e Sterling items

    ..or..

are you just recasting pure silver?

    Simon,

Last time I check it was, refining was $25 per raw kg + GST + losses (2%) + bar charge. For sterling item it could be as much as $60-80 fee per KG ASW.

If memory serves me right (Ironchef anyone?), there is a thread somewhere about it.

I would love to locate a good cheap refiner.
